Description
The FTDI - FT232RL has become the most popular USB to Serial device. No crystal or external EEPROM needed. The FT232RL has all its support components built in. The IC comes in a 28-SSOP package which makes hand soldering easy. The FT232RL is USB 2.0 compliant and includes royalty free drivers for Windows, Mac and Linux. With the available programming application you can change several custom features including the device ID.
